--South Carolina moved the ball pretty effectively on its 13 offensive drive, picking at least 15 yards on nine of them and having eight drives of over 50 yards. They averaged 5.8 plays and 47.2 yards per drive.

--The Gamecocks put up 600 yards and 35 points Saturday, the most any team has registered against Clemson's defense all season. The 35 points where the most allowed by that defense since giving up 35 to Virginia Tech in the 2016 ACC Championship game.

--The defense gave up 744 yards of offense Saturday, which is the most since at least 1962. South Carolina's media guide does not provide that statistic past that year.

--Jake Bentley passed for a school-record 510 yards and tied the record for passing touchdowns in a game with five. He became the fourth quarterback to throw for at least 400 yards—joining Steve Taneyhill, Todd Ellis and Dylan Thompson—and the first to throw for over 500 yards.

--Including the bowl game, Bentley is now on pace to go 247-381 with 3,255 yards and 28 touchdowns. If he does, this is where that would finish in the record books:

Completions: 4th
Attempts: 7th
Completion percentage: 6th (64.8 percent)
Yards: 2nd
Touchdowns: 2nd

--Deebo Samuel's 210 yards receiving were tied for second-most all-time with Troy Williamson, and Samuel became just the sixth player in school history with at least eight 100-yard receiving games. Including the bowl, he's on pace for 68 receptions and 1,003 yards, which would be. That would make him the first 1,000-yard receiver since Pharoh Cooper in 2014.

--South Carolina lost its fifth-straight game to Clemson. It's now the second longest losing streak in the rivalry after Clemson won seven straight from 1934-40.

--Despite the defensive struggles, TJ Brunson finished with five tackles, bringing his season total to 88. He's now on pace for 104 tackles, which would be second-most over the last 10 seasons behind Skai Moore's 111 in 2015.

--The Gamecock defense is giving up 29.3 points and 440.3 yards per game through 11 games. If that holds, it will be the most points allowed since 2014 (30.3) and the most yards allowed per game since at least 2000. South Carolina would have given up over 400 yards per game defensively four out of the last five seasons.
