I'm in my oracle office from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon every day. Anything I say then, take it to the bank. I have fun the rest of my waking time.
Spurrier was 59 when he was hired. The same Spurrier that quit on you in the middle of the season? You care what that guy thinks about your program? I think his quitting and lack of recruiting showed everyone exactly what he thought of your program.
I think he was tired at age 70. I am 59 and can imagine how tired you would be at that point. I think he showed what he thought with three straight top ten finishes with the last at #4. He showed what he thought beating uga many times. But yeah, his lack of recruiting the last two years set us back. He wanted to retire after the Dylan Thompson senior year. Should have then, not during a season.
As far as I know JoMo was the only coach to die as a result of coaching here.I've been blasted for saying USC is a coaches' graveyard when people have been saying that for decades.
I can see that. If he has another 4 win season he's gone. But if he goes 6-6 next year, that will probably be seen as improvement and he won't be fired until he goes 6-6 or worse in his 6th year.
