Frank front runner for UMass

Not sure about his wife but definitely a Ray apologist for certain!
Sorry but I've been in meetings with him on several occasions with respect for private funding for athletic facilities and one buyout. I came away impressed with his knowledge and handle on state bond financing and his ability to sell the importance of athletic facilities to the programs.

I wouldn't care if you sat with him every day. That makes no difference in him being literate as an AD. You're going to have a tough time selling most of the folks on his proven prowess at running athletic programs.

"State Bond Financing"? Really that's where you want to hang your hat?

More difficult than you can imagine.

Other than a couple of coaching hires (one of which the jury is still out on) where has he done a bad job? We are always 1st or 2nd in SEC academics (despite our overall academic rank in the conference), we graduate our student athletes, we are one of the few schools that haven't had to cut a men's or women's athletic program, he has managed the athletic budget well, we are consistently in compliance with the NCAA and Title IX....have little to no issues on those fronts, and we have done more improving of our athletic facilities under him than any previous AD. And from the coaching standpoint, he also managed to keep Staley from going to TOSU.....and they thought they had her.

LOL ok Rogue thank you for the laugh!!!

That seldom happens. LSU's AD didn't. Mississippi State's could have as they hired a long term JUCO coach. Tennessee nor Auburn did in their search for a football coach. Who do you know that did?
Now on this issue I have to side with @Clevercock3 It does seem like Maryland had Willard signed before Seton Hall lost in the Tournament. It seems Holloway is a done deal to Seton Hall, except the contract might keep increasing the more he wins now. Georgia seems to have inked White at the SEC Tournament. The quick hires at Miss State and LSU seem to suggest they got their guys pretty quick.

At least in basketball, it seems like a lot of these hires were worked out before the ncaa tournament even tipped off. They just waited until after to announce it.

All but zero doubt they were.....I wasn't happy with the results from Frank but I'd have rather kept what we had instead of this outcome. We end up with at best our 4th choice and likely 5th to be honest and on top of that overpay for him and basically nuke our entire program in the process.

If I couldn't get who I wanted lined up I'd have kept what I had and waited till next year to see what or who was available. Not to mention Franks buyout is more attractive then too.

Rogue,
You talk shit constantly about USC. I'm fine with the bitching about our coaches and stuff. But I've seen you bring up the lack of support according to you compared to other schools and the education level of our university compared to others. You have a complete lack of knowledge of our university! We have several highly ranked areas within the education world. Our fans support our sports at a higher level than most across the country. We had over 8,000 yesterday for a baseball game for a team that is average at best. We average more per home basketball game for a below average team than Duke can hold in their arena. UNC arena is empty any time they have a bad team. Those are some of the blue bloods of the sport. Look at the Tenn's and FL's of the world's. We provide more support having bad teams than most universities get having great teams.
