Gamecock basketball is in good hands. Coach Martin is building this program the right way. Marshall has done an excellent job at several stops, but I surely wouldn't say that he's perched at the top of everyone's wish list. Just in the southeast, I can think of several other younger coaches who might be above him on most schools radar.

Marshall has turned down
Illinois
NC State
California
Mizzou
Tenn


And Alabama has him #1 on their list. They are reportedly going to offer 3 million+ and will send Nick Saban to recruit Marshall.
Outside of Coach K and Pitino, he may the MOST desriable coach in the country.

I guess we'll have to disagree there. None of those schools are what would be known as prime basketball jobs these days, except maybe Illinois. I wish Gregg much continued success, wherever he coaches. I just don't see him as the next John Wooden, like several people obviously think of him..
