--Evan Hinson will practice today with the team and will be full-time with the basketball team for the next two weeks and will travel with the team to Wyoming and Michigan this week.

--Asked about getting prepared for the altitude to play in the altitude in Wyoming, the team hasn't talked about it really. He said he's excited to go to a part of the country he never's been to before.

"At the end of the day, we have to manage it. We can't go in there thinking negative thoughts. We have to go in there thinking we're going to win the game."

--Justin Minaya's procedure went great and he's in "great spirits." He'll stay behind this week to focus on a critical stretch of rehab this week.

--Basketball in Canada is "real good." Michigan has a really good freshman out of Ontario and the Gamecocks have Lawson, who's also out of Ontario. In terms of Canada, they love basketball up there and that usually spawns good players that come to America to come to play college ball.

Said it helps with Toronto becoming a "melting pot" with people coming in with basketball backgrounds.

--Martin raving about Wyoming saying it's a "great opponent" and plays in a solid conference in the Mountain West, a group that many out here probably don't know about.

--Asked about Michigan's defensive scheme, said they transitioned from a zone to mostly man team and they're so long and athletic that helps man defense.

"You don't win 800 games or whatever he's won if you're teams don't defend."

--Talks Jermaine Cousinard, said it's still an "off campus issue." Said the semester ending doesn't mean anything in terms of a quicker decision. He did mention having Christmas break coming up helps because there's no time restriction they can take as many reps as possible.

--Martin said he has to constantly rep and force contact in practice so players don't fear contact in games. Said players have to learn through the remaining 23 or so games they need to bring more physicality and "throw their bodies around."

--On the newest signee, Trey Anderson, Martin said right now he's a really good shooter and he's long and physical. The staff really likes him and thinks they have a wing of the future along with the point guard (Trae Hannibal) and big man (Wildens Leveque) in this class.

--Martin said the team has had to change some offensive philosophies this season trying to figure out what the freshmen can and can't do in the offense. AJ Lawson and TJ Moss bring a different dynamic to the team and Martin said the biggest challenge right now is figuring out what the offense looks like with Lawson and Moss on the floor.
