Gamecocks get home game in Big12/SEC challenge

After not taking part in the Big 12/SEC Challenge the last two years, South Carolina men's basketball will take a break from conference action in late January of 2018 to play a Big 12 school in the cross-conferece event.

It was announced on Thursday, the Gamecocks will host Texas Tech at Colonial Life Area on January 27. According to USC Sports Information, it will be the fourth time the two programs will meet, and the first time since the 1976-77 season.

About damn time. The last two years, i'm tired of trying to defend Martin's decision on it. He was right... the away games in that tournament was about to get out of hand.

Actually surprised they didn't schedule us against one of their better teams. After our final 4 run it would be an attractive match up. I see Kansas isn't in it

Frank Martin took a stand .They kept putting us on the road . Frank basically said screw you and won .

Im glad they got it on the schedule.Now if they can add some acc teams and maybe some more in state or near state teams we traditionly played often it would be even mo betta

CFM has approached most ACC teams about games..,They want home games each time...So CFN says screw 'em...Man up and do home&home contracts

We should be able to get one worked out with Georgia Tech. Pastner did one with us while @ Memphis.
