BTW, I was flying as USN crew member (seaplanes) probably before you were born.

The features are already "self-evident", as you say.

Our content has not changed one bit on this website, and as always, our subscribers get access to our insider content and everything else on the website. FGF is a free board, although we do have a lot of free content to read on our site too.

Just a few of the new features, all of which you can see no matter what the colors of the site are:

) More stability and security. You probably noticed that with the old technology and boards, they were ridden with technical issues. That frustrated our customers and readers and our staff.

2) A new, updated look.

3) Responsive design that works across all platforms whether desktop, tablet, or mobile.

4) No limit on thread history.

5) Private messaging, social profiles.

6) Ability to embed videos and tweets

7) Option to set up alerts (so you can see when someone replies to your posts), follow users, and set up a "news feed"

8) A dynamic quoting system that automatically quotes users you are replying to for an easier navigation.

9) Improved search and navigation.

For some reason I imagine most of the folks that are complaining didn't like it either when they put radios into automobiles.......

They were likely even more astonished at the idea of AC in the vehicle......

Under the old format, the sites also looked basically the same except for logos of the team sites and the colors. Same as now. The board had the same layout across each team site. I guess maybe the text is the same color everywhere now.

It has not a thing to do with "socialism." Rivals didn't have a pow wow and say to be fair, all the sites need to be basically the same. It's just a platform, modified for each individual site, just like before. It's not feasible for every site - 200 something across the network or something like that - to have its own unique design.

When you go and post a bunch of stuff on here about our business that isn't true, sorry, we take that seriously. My "panties aren't in a wad", but I'm not going to have you throw out things that aren't accurate.

Having someone disagree with you isn't getting panties in a wad, it's just having (or attempting to have) an intelligent discussion to clear things up. Goodness knows there's a lot of inaccuracies thrown out on the Internet.

You can feel free to express your opinion on here, that's quite obvious and we've let many folks do that regarding the new message boards or our content or whatever it may be. But needlessly bashing us and needling what we do, in a manner that isn't accurate, not really called for. We work really hard to be able to have this website for everyone.
