Had lunch with Landon Powell today

Well actually the title to this post is a little misleading.
Our church, Fairview Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina, hosted the North Greenville University baseball team today. (for those who don't know Landon is the head coach at NGU) The team worshiped with us and then we fed them lunch and I sat at Landon's table. Landon still represents the University of South Carolina well and he represents Jesus Christ even better.

Landon has a house next door to his ol' USC battery mate, David Marshbanks, here in the Augusta St. area of Greenville. I've heard that one was not aware the other was in the house next door when the realtor originally showed it, but that may be completely false.

The biggest men's basketball brawl I've ever seen...

Fairview Baptist vs Greer First Baptist on Greer's home court (circa. 1978). Almost every player squared off with someone from the opposing team until the Greer's finest came. Good times!
