Henry's dad may not be a great coach

I consider myself open minded, and I don’t like the prospect of any package deal to sign a recruit. If Henry’s father is a good coach or recruiter, I’d support hiring him on his own merit. They may be a great combo, just don’t like the idea of the package deal. If one turns out to be a bad fit, for any reason, what happens?

My sister once offered to help get me get a job at her company, when she was a sales mgr at Pitney Bowes. Not directly working in Sales. I said, “isn’t that nepotism?”. She replied, “yes, however nepotism isn’t always bad, we sometimes hire family members to work in other departments. Family members of good employees are often good employees.” I went elsewhere for another job.

Not saying don’t do it. Thinking each should be considered on their own, with a clear understanding there is no guarantee for either.
