If I had to guess I think Hoke will get the old EJ title of Assistant Head Coach of Defense and Ward will remain DC.
What NFL jobs did he pass up? Heath Cline said that Hoke was at the Senior Bowl looking for NFL work. There probably wasn't a lot of demand for the defensive back coach of the 30th ranked pass defense.Originally posted by Bongsummers:
Negative. Hoke is running the show. He ain't passing up jobs in the league to coach defensive backs here.
Open Mic Daily in Spartanburg said today he turned down the DC job at the Broncos two weeks ago or so. I have no idea whether it is true or not because that show has tanked lately.Originally posted by DarkCock:

That's not to say he won't be the defensive coordinator. He's probably the best we could do after Spurrier's "2 to 3 years" comment.
they picked that up from other reports of the same out there. Hoke has had this job in hand ( USC for a month ). Going from pro league to college is not that uncommon, everyone has their reason. Hoke is an career assistant with contacts in college and pro.. if this doesn't work, the pro game will again be an option for him in the future... not much of a risk for HokeOriginally posted by Cock-Vader:
