How do we retain talent if we only win 3-4 games?

I think we can still win 6 games.

But if Sellers is hurt and can't play for weeks, we probably stare at 4 wins.

We likely don't retain a lot of our talent. We likely have a lot of turnover like we did last year. That's the new normal.

Money is how you retain talent.
Correct. But you still have to recruit which cost more money and pay more for your current players every year. Prices are not going down for sure. So how much does a 7-5 to 6-6 team cost?

Whatever the unregulated market dictates once hunting season begins. This is a big part of the issue.

I meant how do we because we not spending big $$

Unfortunately, you don't.

A player like Stewart likely isn't going to stick around if we pay him $100K++ less than the rest of the bidders.

The best we can hope for is University Cash to step in and stop the bleeding because Garnet Trust isn't going to cut it alone.

Gamecocks have what around 30 players to replace next season and that’s a big number but it does give some leeway if you miss out on evaluating players who don’t contribute. Roster management is becoming increasingly complex.

The portal changed everything. Every year is a rebuilding year for most teams. Player evaluation is more important than ever. Getting those G5 players that were overlooked when they came out of high school is our best chance.
