Through this whole deflategate I’m stuck by the difference between MLB and the NFL. In MLB you have steroids and HGH, scuffing up baseballs, spit balls, stealing signs from the 3rd base coach, stealing signs from the catcher, adding pine tar to the bat and I could go on. It’s like cheating or trying to cheat is part of the baseball culture. In the NFL there is a 200 page six month investigation in a tire pump incident. Weird. I wonder what George Carlin would say.
The Colts supplied their own balls on offense, so it's a big deal actually. I played QB and can speak first hand to the fact that a ball with less air is much easier to handle in rainy conditions. Easier to throw and catch.
If you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't give your opinion.
Colts' balls also were under inflated. Talk about clueless posting. Geez!
Different QBs like their balls differently. Some QBs like a ball with less air and some don't. The amount of air missing from the Patriots balls was just barely enough to get it down below the limit. We also know that cold temperatures cause things to lose air. I've lost pressure in my tires during cold weather and it was a lot colder there than it gets down here. The Colts supplied their own balls on offense, so it's a big deal actually. Don Sutton was pretty famous for cutting the baseball with a tack in his glove. And he's in the Hall of Fame too. I think you get my drift it just seems to be a difference between the sports.Have to love Gaylord Perry. Forget the spitball, KY jelly, WD40, clear grease & the time he was running the bases (yes baseball fans pitchers can hit), when the tube of Brylcreem, came out of his warm up jacket as he slid across home plate. It ain't cheating if you don't get caught!
Don't get me started on Whitey Ford, after all he sent his boy south to play @ Carolina. Guess we have to give him a break on that one.
Just put a big old asterisk by this years Super Bowl & we can all move on![]()
plz show us where the colts deflated theres....care to link the info on that.....ill be waiting....for a long time im sureColts' balls also were under inflated. Talk about clueless posting. Geez!
He didn't lie. All Brady said is that he like his balls soft.....

It was reported that Luck likes a harder ball therefore in the beginning the Colts balls already had more air than the Patriots. Even if both teams balls deflated at the same rate the Colts balls would have still been above the minimum because their balls started with more air. I'm not saying that the Patriots aren't lying. I'm just saying that it is possible that they are telling the truth. I honestly don't think it would have mattered either way and I don't think it's that big a deal considering that the balls were just barely under the minimum pressure. So explain why the Patriots' balls deflated at a much faster rate and to a much greater degree than the Colts' did? Colder on NE's side of the field? lol
