How about Ken 'Hawk' Harrelson or Rocky Colavito? I used to use a Colavito 33 ounce bat. Why I pulled for Cleveland back then, I can't figure.

He actually hung around for a lot longer than I remembered, although he was only dominant for a few seasons. Obviously he never became the next Koufax. Career w/l percentage wasn't much over .500.

The “Hawk” he certainly was good for the game.
Cleveland had a clear 50,000 watt channel that boomed over the Midwest/east coast after 9pm. .sorta like Kdka & Kmox.

WKYC was such a station - played Top-40 at night - Jackson Armstrong, Jr. was the main DJ. Is that the station that carried the Indians?
