Some of you have already read on another thread that one of the final candidates to assume the seat of president at USC was a previous Superintendent (Supe) of the United States Military Academy (USMA). For those who don't know being the Supe is the same as being president. He does have a very impressive resume, in my opinion.
Anyway, from 2010-2013 I was stationed at West Point and one of my civilian staff later moved over to USMA and took a job where they worked directly under the Supe.
I reached out to that individual this morning and asked about LTG Caslen.
1. He's "AMAZING"
2. He is a straight shooter.
3. He is "entirely dedicated to the students."
4. This person told me that they would "definitely work for him again."
This person also told me that Caslen is one of the best people they know.
