Never power toolsDrill bits, saw blades, and maybe extension cords (generally anything that is likely to get worn out or damaged by regular use) are about the only things I'd consider worth buying from Harbor Freight.

why not spend 3 hrs organizing your jungle and eliminate the search and re-buys?I dont mind lending my tools to anybody, but I never do simply because I can't ever find them. When I need a tool for myself it comes down to 2 choices. Either spend a half day looking thru a mountain of junk or going to Harbour Freight & buying cheap Chinese crap that always gets the job done. I'm at Harbour Freight alot. I'm just not going to spend 3 hrs looking for my hammer when I can buy one for $10.
Interestingly, that’s exactly what Adam Smith said in his book The Wealth of nations, published in 1776. He argued that property rights is a key component of Capitalism because people value the stuff they have to work for. It’s like this, nobody is going to take care of your tools the way you will cause you paid for them and you treat them right. Plus, there’s a chance you won’t ever see them again because again nobody cares more about your stuff than you! I’m right there with you!
I think the same logic partly applies when people pay more for better quality things like tools. Not only are they more reliable, you'll take better care of them as they are more costly to replace. Of course this requires that you not lose them or loan them out. 😄Interestingly, that’s exactly what Adam Smith said in his book The Wealth of nations, published in 1776. Wrenches, sockets, screw drivers, vice grips, etc are great for siblings or in laws who don’t use tools that much. Harbor Freight is a great place for that.Never power tools
