The other thing I thought of is if we have an East/West set up instead of pods, then we likely end up with permanent opponents further away. In that scenario I think we will get Arkansas, Missouri and Texas A & M.
Missouri bc of the dumb battle of Columbia. Arkansas bc they came in at the same time as us so we’re probably the program they’re most connected to in the East. Texas A & M has already been a permanent opponent so I could see that continuing.
The bad part about that East/West scenario is the schedule would be loaded with Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn….and that would be before you factor in western rotations.
No one is connecting the dots but I do believe the expanded SEC is going to lead to the end of the Carolina-Clemson game. I don’t see how it continues with a 9 game SEC schedule.
