The pre snap jet sweep motion does so much more than just the play itself. The defense has to respect the threat of the offense to get the ball on perimeter quickly in the hands of a playmaker. This keeps the defenders in the box from being able to crash down on our inside zone run. It helps the OLine get better angles to block the LBs because they tend to play a little more to the outside. And as someone mentioned, it sets up all kinds of quick passes and play actions off of that play especially when you can run it successfully. IMO, we should have been running it a lot more this season. There is a reason most of the prolific offenses across the country use this play Auburn, Houston etc.
