Let me know how that works out for you. You’ve probably spent more than your homes worth on insurance premiums if you’re over 60 which is extremely sad. Invest that over the years and it would be double what you paid for your home. The odds of your home burning down are extremely low and chances are if it does burn you’ll be in court for years and never see a cent.
Health insurance. Please……………You'll definitely die much sooner fooling with “pharma care” here in the us. You’re probably on meds now. Right??
The smartest people I know have figured out insurance is a scam and big pharma runs the healthcare system pushing you straight into their lifetime care for all the sickness THEY infest their customers with.
well, first, my insurance costs are a tiny percentage of my income. I make enough money so that insurance premiums aren't a concern for me- and are well worth the money. It sounds like you don't.
It's worked out great for me. I have reasonable home insurance that will give me hundreds of thousands of dollars if something happened to my home, or someone nearby caused an accident that destroyed my home.
yes, the chances of it burning down or a catastrophic loss are low- that's why I have a high deductible and reasonable premiums. But a fire or total loss isn't the only reason for insurance.
But of course, I also have a swimming pool and property and my insurance provides me with valuable liability coverage if someone was hurt on my property or fell on my pool deck, or fell down the steps on my deck - or was otherwise injured on my property.
No, the amount of I have paid for home insurance would not be worth double what I paid for my home. Not even remotely close. LOL. I see math is not your thing.
I am covered by my wife's health insurance policy and we've had no problems with it. It even paid when I had to go to California a few years ago for specialist care from one of the few doctors in the country that performed the procedure I had done. I had to pay about $5000 out of pocket but it picked up the rest.
It also covered my son's $50,000 electrophysiology study several years ago after I paid about $800.
So, I am extremely pleased with having health insurance and automobile insurance. I also have renter's insurance for one of my son's and I have boat insurance for my toys.
Only idiots walk around without health insurance or car insurance. It's a recipe for financial ruin.
