I would love us use common sense and either Garnet or white Jerseys during the afternoon to late afternoon games in August, September into early October at home white its hot and humid.

I've alway thought it was dumb to wear black jerseys during the afternoon to late afternoon games at home during the hot and humid afternoon.

You would deny the crazed fans who say let's have a black out and go on to lose by 30.

I’d like to see us go back to the Spurrier era look, or the Morrison era look. One helmet…with the exception of one home game each year where we wear some sort of throwback.

Our look under Spurrier is our best look, though we wore mono garnet too often. So clean with white, garnet, white. I’d alternate black jerseys from time to time as well.

Home top to bottom White Garnet White
Away top to bottom Garnet White Garnet

Start something new under Beamer and copy LSU look at home.

Change yellow for Garnet and purple for Black. Keep our Helmets the same as JoMo or George Rorgers era.

I'll say it again. 1987 GBW, or 1984 all Garnet, for home. Choose one and stick with it. Stormtroopers for the road.
Those are classic looks that you can't screw up, and that when people would see them, they'd know it's us.
Make our home and away unis a tradition. Seems to work for those other guys who win a helluva lot.

Ok, copy LSU's look and color. Maybe we might win games. Or better yet put a mean Fat Bird aka Cocky's face on the helmets.
I'll go with #USCBatgirl21 on the the 87 GBW combo. Those were tough looking and fairly unique.

But for the life of me, I don't understand some fans' obsession with the so-called Stormtrooper look. When's the last time we've won anything big in that combo? Clemson in '12? Jeez.

I don't understand Carolina fans who don't like our uniforms. Last year I thought they finally got the jerseys with the right look, and having all our school colors incorporated into the uniforms was perfect.

Uniform combos are fun! Garnet and black look good together, no matter the combination. It's a heck of a lot better than orange!
We like our unis. We just don't like the revolving door of combinations. Pick a look and stick with it.

Personally, I just like the Stormtroopers look. Not really worried about what we may have won in them. The moniker helps. I'm a Star Wars geek, so...😁

I want to make a change to our home game uniforms on a hot and humid days. Wear white jerseys. We done it the past years about 70 years ago or so.

Why give an edge to visitors when it's hot and humid outside. Now, with that said, we used to wear mesh garnet jerseys and something that could breath better. I'm all for going back to this look. Helmet and all.

Now you talking, that's what I like for all home games

This would be a great contribution by Beamer to our program. If he could standardize our unis or even just the helmet. I know we have no history or tradition, but that doesn't mean we can't try establishing some now. I don't follow other schools all that closely on this issue, but it seems here like every incoming coach is given free reign to tinker however he wants with the unis. I guess it's because every time we hire a coach we're looking to rebuild/rebrand ourselves. We gotta start somewhere. Maybe Beamer's the guy to do it. Pick a helmet design and stick with it and maybe in 20-30 years, if we're successful enough, it'll be instantly recognizable to folks.

Couldn't thay be said for virtually any of our color combinations? Very likely, just about any combination we have was used in a huge win at some point. . . And followed by a real stinker of a loss.

Buy jerseys that fit the players. These over-engineered, poorly made Under Armour shirts pucker and look ridiculous. Likewise, have a more masculine font, like from the first years of Spurrier and before instead of the san serif font. It would be nice if the numbers were large enough to read again, also.

USC is not Alabama or Penn State. Even UGA changes it up from time to time
For special occasions. Not weekly like we do. But the majority of the time they wear red jerseys and silver britches at home. On the road it's white with silver britches.

And no one is saying we are Alabama. Just putting to bed the, albeit weak, argument that one way to get star recruits is to allow them to pick the unis each week. They are also some of the same ones commenting how nice it is that Auburn, PSU, FSU, Bama, etc have classic unis that everyone instantly recognizes.

Why not make our uniform one of our traditions, like silver britches at UGa, the classic Bama crimson uniform, the classic Auburn uniform? You see those unis and instantly you know who it is. We came close to that with Gameday Garnet. And you know what...we were winning then. The guys didn't care about picking the unis each week.

Kinda like with Baseball. People see our Garnet Pins with script Carolina across the chest and they know it's us. It's our thing.

Well, I've said in other posts that I just think the all white combo is just plain boring. We've got some nice school colors. So I prefer we take advantage of them.

My personal fav is the GBW combo of '87. But the big game Garnet grew on me because we won so much with them.

Agreed! If player input boosts team morale, recruiting, and wining, let the players pick.

Players, beat Clemson: wear whatever helmet, jersey, and pant combination if you want.
Yet when we were winning the most and recruiting the best, the players didn't pick the uniform combos. 🤔

It seems that our downward spiral corresponds with our letting the players choose.

(Yes I know the two really don't have anything to do with one another, just as being able to pick the uni each week really doesn't improve recruiting.)

I don't like ugly uniforms, but uniforms are secondary to beating the Tigers.

I hope so. The players are children and aren't entitled to a say. USC will go on long after they have either moved up to the NFL or flamed out of college.
Well I won’t go as far as calling 18-22 year old young men children, but I do believe it’s a distraction.

I liked Spurrier's philosphy of changing pants/uniforms whenever we lost. I'm not superstitious, but I liked having some logic behind the color changes. And as long as you are winning, you don't have to mess with the formula.
