We specifically mentioned Oakboro (N.C.) West Stanly three-star linebacker Jordan Poole as one of the linebacker targets that the Gamecocks would love to add to their class with Bryce Steele and Trenilyas Tatum and there was a reason for that.

Don't let the current three-star rating fool you, Poole was invited to the All-American Bowl in San Antonio today and should only see his recruiting stock continue to rise.

South Carolina offered him last summer (first SEC offer) following a very impressive camp performance in Columbia. While the Gamecocks have always been "in it," the addition of Des Kitchings has given them some increased juice with Poole as of late. N.C. State is probably the other program to keep an eye on as the Wolfpack have also been on him for some time and Poole has some family connections there.

Check out the film below. The 6-foot, 215-pounder is a headhunter who hammers ball-carriers but is also a phenomenal athlete. We had him at 4.6 in the 40 during a Rivals camp last year. Not only is he a physical safety but he also has the natural athleticism to play in space, making plays at safety and show explosiveness, balance and ball skills as a running back on offense.

With so many offers going out each year, one thing we always want to try to do is let you know which prospects you really want to pay attention to. Put Jordan Poole firmly in that category.
