No thanks. There are 18 teams in D1 Equestrian. I'm not going to brag about a "sport" that has 18 teams to compete with. Good for them but I'm not going to brag about it. I'll reserve that for real sports. Ones that other schools actually play. Nothing great about being 1st of 18 in a horse racing competition.
Soooo....You took the time to figure out that there are 18 teams? And you think they race horses? Way to go Einstein.

Yep. I'm not a real Carolina fan because I don't watch and cheer for an Equestrian team. Nice observation. Are you a season ticket holder for that team? How many events, games, matches, whatever ya call them, have you been to this year? You guys act like this is as important as football or baseball.
No, you won't. If you don't think that a sport is important enough to discuss, then don't open a discussion thread about it. I won't allow that kind of nonsense to derail threads.
If memory serves me correct, women's equestrian is the very first sport in which we won a national championship (we now have three titles in the sport). Plus, shoot, I am happy when we beat UGA (and the rest of the SEC) in anything. There could be a national title in tiddlywinks, and I would still want to beat UGA.
Thanks for correcting me on that. Looks like 2002 vs 2005. I also didn't remember that the soccer team fell just short in 1993 (maybe because I was overseas then, and that was the age of dial-up internet).
