Hello all and welcome back for the second time this month to Founders Park where the Gamecocks open a series with LSU tonight starting at 7 p.m. Collyn Taylor coming to you after what seems like a month off of not covering a game in person for almost two weeks. Been on the trail watching prospects.
This will be a big one for the Gamecocks, who are 0-3 after taking game one against Arkansas while scoring just four runs in the process. They'll need to kick it into gear with at least two power arms coming to the mound this weekend, starting with Zach Hess (6-3, 3.17 ERA) tonight.
Logan Chapman (2-0, 3.93 ERA), in his second SEC start and first at home, taking the mound for USC. He looked good in his first action in a win over Arkansas, pitching out of a few big jams.
