Weekly presser from William Muschamp coming up here. Updates will be in this post, so all you have to do is refresh it.
--Saturday is military appreciation day at Williams-Brice. He spends a lengthy time thanking the military and anyone who served.
--Has a lot of respect for Jimbo Fisher and says A&M has a "really good" team. They return four starters up front offensively. Spiller's a good back. Mond is efficient and they have a good, versatile player in Smith.
--On the off week they did some good prep on the next five opponents and said A&M's tight end is one of the better ones they'll face and they face a lot coming up.
--Defensively they have three really good pass rushers. They're active good safeties as well. He's impressed with the talent there.
--The plan is for Collin Hill to start this week.
--Team is off today for election day. Team practiced Sunday preparing for A&M. They practiced Monday night as well. Will go back to the normal game-week schedule starting Wednesday.
--Mond presents a lot of issues throwing the ball and he can hurt you with his legs. Said A&M has a lot
--Majority of South Carolina guys have already voted. The ones that didn't were given transportation to the polls.
--Asked about Keveon Mullins, said he's been great moving over to tight end and really caught on quick after getting moved from receiver. Speed-wise, he creates some issues.
--They challenged the team about playing the run much better than they are in run defense. They addressed some of that and he feels they'll play much better.
--Jordan Burch is "night and day" better than what he was from game one. He said the "light's gone off" for Burch and he understands what's expected of him down in and down out.
--Team will practice Wednesday and Thursday morning after practicing Monday night.
--Doesn't expect any personnel changes outside of a few guys getting looks on special teams.
--Jaheim Bell is making strides at the tight end position. He expects Alex Huntley to play Saturday night. He's finally healthy coming off the ankle injury.
--Asked about playing Mond as much as he has, said he doesn't know how much it helps because Mond is so good. It's "unusual" to see a four-year starter in college football but he's grown a lot and he's a really tough quarterback.
--Said he expected this season to be tough every week and it has been. He didn't think they'd be 2-3 but they have to take it week by week and focus on A&M.
--Mike Bobo and Jimbo Fisher are pretty similar in terms of being dedicated to the run, play action passes and trying to take deep shots in-game.
--Said Jalen Brooks has done first-team reps even when he wasn't eligible. Said he was "further along" than in a typical year but should be more along now that he's gotten a lot of first team reps the last two weeks.
--Said it was "huge" to not have to worry about redshirting players right now in the COVID year. It was a "great decision by the NCAA" to not count this year towards eligibility.
--Jaycee Horn has had a really good year and garnering more headlines this year because of his stat line against Auburn. Muschamp said he's been good the last two years and he's having a "really good season" and has been consistent the entire season.
--Mukuamu gives South Carolina flexibility to play multiple spots. At the end of the day, they'll play him wherever they feel it gives them the best chance to win. Said he could play both against A&M but he'll start at corner.
