If you are talking about Johnson at the end of the game. The ref threw him the ball 4 seconds after he got to the line. Just rewatched it.

After Chat asked the ref to hold the ball on the 1st FT so he could tuck in his shirt. The 2nd FT Chat is waiting around looking all over the place while the camera is zoomed in on him and the ref is taking his sweet time. He made it anyway.

The ref was wiping the sweat off of the ball for us. Just like the shooter was trying to dry his hands before shooting. Some of us will find fault in anything. Most refs would have thrown a wet ball. At least he understood the situation and took the time to dry off the ball.
Seems to be standard operating procedure for many here. Its a sure indication of an inferiority complex resulting from a history of irrelevance in sports at USC. If we are ever to recover from that paranoia, we need to stop seeing enemies behind every door. That was the most exciting and crazy ending to a basketball game in my recent memory. We won, then lost and then won again. Several bookies are now dead from heart attacks and the Gamecocks and Rebels get the credit.
If it had been a horse race, people would have been scrambling around trying to fit torn up tickets together. Just another example why we should wait until its all over before jumping out windows or making what become stupid posts on the forum.
