UT did the first half…….believe we won the second half. Our D played 15 yards off the receivers the entire half. They played up tight the second. Amazing it took a half to realize the mistake. I was screaming it after the second series. Our offense sucked bc of no real QB and bad oline play. But there were some games our D was just as bad.
With a competent & healthy qb and more then one wide receiver, hopefully things will be better.
Agree about the coverage mistakes. The way to beat the RPo system is to play man free. Take away their ability to put your run support players in conflict. If you can win with your front 5-6 you win against RPo based teams.
Neither will be anywhere close to these rankings by mid-season. SC won't be ranked either. A loss to Georgia is a given and best case is a win over one of Kentucky and Arkansas for a 4-2 record. then play the Aggies. Still a much improved team as Rattler settles in. Some of Florida, Tennessee, Clemson, etc will be made to pay. Not all, but some. 9-3 tops, probably 8-4, 7-5 a bit of a disappointment.
