2. Doubtful he would turn down an attractive job elsewhere to hold out in the chance of an SEC opening a couple of years down the road.
Everyone knows you take advantage of your situation when you're in high demand, and that would be now.

To be fair, as bad as TN has been recent years, they out recruited Muschamp and our program, so Heupel has more talent to work with. That said I share the frustration here

A high character championship coach that was extremely established in his role compared to a man child. Yea, ok...

Now is the time to fire Tanner. Don't roll the dice once again and be looking to fill both positions. Get a new AD let him sit observe and see the changes that need to be made. If Beamer rights the ship then great but if this experiment goes nowhere let the new AD be ready to change the direction and make changes.

I support him also. But what is he selling this winter? I just don’t see anything that will get him players that can combine with this coaching and just be competitive. Let alone win.

We won’t know what he is selling this winter until the season has run it’s course. We are half way through the year, sitting 3-3 with a winnable game in front of us that may allow us to build some momentum on offense. Let’s allow the season to play out..
