Mens and Women’s Basketball tonight

Both looked terrible. Staley has a lot of work to do with this team. Kitts is definitely the best player on this team. The rest couldn’t hit the side of a barn tonight. No team play. Looked more like a shoot around than a well oiled offense moving the ball around for a good shot.

They looked awful against the Michigan zone defense. Our 3-point shooting was horrendous. Tac, Edwards, and Feagin were almost non-existent during the game.

We are going to get beat down low. Didn't like Feagin last year and still don't. She doesn't have it in her and seems to have an attitude or is whiney. Not going to get anything out of Walker. Tac is our only hope if Watkins isn't allowed to come back, Kitts has game but still isnt strong enough. She gets boxed out and loses balls she gets her hands on. Guard and small forward play will come around, but until then we are going to get eaten up in the post.

I was also disappointed with Douda. She’s very timid in the lane — complete opposite of Kitts.

Kitts was a beast last night against Coppin State. Fulwiley hit four shots from 3- point range. That first qtr was very ugly.

Passing isn't crisp at all.

Besides Kitts, the inside game looks bad- no touch at all. Seems like a few of our "bigs" throw the ball at the basket instead of shooting it.

Our big talent is average at best.

I can't put my finger on it but the team doesn't look like it's having fun out there. Coach Staley doesn't look like she's enjoying anything about the game.

I get that a coach isn't happy at poor play but even in a nice win at the end but you have to enjoy every win. The game has to be fun for the players.

I really wish after some of those awful passes I have seen, that player was taken out of the game immediately. This is the time of year to do that.

There is ZERO reason this team shouldn't be a great passing team. They have elite talent at the guard position.

And Edwards is young- I get it- but some of her shots look as if she's never shot the ball before. She had a short-midrange jumper last night with no one in her face from 8 feet away and her shot bounced off the backboard as if she was shooting the ball from 25 feet away. No touch at all.

She is not that quick. I assumed she'd be quicker than she is.

Really disappointed in the first half play of our women last night against Clemson. We left at least 15 points on the floor due to the many missed bunny shots under the basket. Half of our bigs are not physical enough under the basket. It’s like they are afraid to fight for position and the ball like Kitts does. Sousa seems to be afraid the touch the ball on rebounds. She’s much too timid.

They can shoot well. They don't have great touch.

Passing is still not great. It was better against Clemson at times. But some of the lazy passing is hard to stomach. No reason at this level high level players should pass so poorly at times.

We will know better what we have after Sunday. Not sure how they can match up with Betts. An ass whuppin' may not be the worst thing for them at this point.

Totally agree. After watching UCLA earlier this week I think an ass whipping is very likely for our girls.
