in my opinion. Nobody could have come into the USC program(nobody we could have hired) and become an instant winner. The cupboard was bare and coaching experiments that might have seemed promising failed. Two big time programs nearest to us riding the crest of their greatest teams makes regional recruiting even harder. We have no national brand. The one thing Muschamp has done is to consistently bring in kids that are developing into good players. At some schools the new coach has instant success because of the tradition and consistency of talent every year(see Ohio State). We have to start without anything other than a great fan base and facilities for the most part. Takes Ohio State no time to be a national contender but in our case may take seven or eight years but I really believe Muschamp will get us there with our support and encouragement. As the old song lyrics go "every thing gona work out fine".
