I'm in full agreement that Muschamp is not the answer. I am just totally not sold on Elliot being here as an interim. As I said in my other post, I think we would end up getting stuck with him if he had even an inkling of success. We both know Ray would take the easy way out if given half the chance.

I'm honestly a little surprised he didn't get the reigns after his interim spot before.

That's the one good decision Ray HAS made in his hiring fiascos. Hiring a coach whose only HC experience was going 1-5 with a loss to the Citadel would've been a horrible move.

To me and I'm sure many others, it would've validated the tired, woe is us mentality that has permeated our fanbase. IOW, we could only be good as long as we had Spurrier.

While he still made a horrible hire, Ray at least had the pretense of a national search.
