Anyone who is pushing the panic button today regarding the baseball team either has severe amnesia or hasn't been following Gamecock baseball very long. I was checking the archives for the 2009 season this morning and saw that we started that year losing 3 of our first 4 SEC series, including 2 of 3 in Starkville and being swept by UofF in Gainesville. We lost in the Regionals to East Carolina later that year.Certainly by today's standards a disappointing season, right?

Point being, no one at that time could anticipate what was coming up the next season, in 2010, at the end of 2009. Things can turn on a dime in baseball, sometimes in very short order. Thank God our AD in 2009 didn't press the panic button and fire the head Coach at season's end, right?
