Not sure if posted earlier, but what movie comes on TV and you HAVE to watch it?

I appreciate the responses. I have a lot of movie viewing to do in the next few months before our football season.

To Kill a Mockingbird
The Big Chill
My Cousin Vinnie
St. Elmo's Fire
The Paper Chase
Brian's Song

And at Christmas....A Christmas Story.

The Great Escape, 1965.

The Spirit of St. Louis, 1957

As someone mentioned earlier, any of the Clint Eastwood westerns.

Also, any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Cant believe no one has listed The Hunt For Red October.

Also, like many others, Shawshank & Private Ryan.

For my wife, Pretty Woman. For me, Saving Private Ryan, Patton, Airplane, Napoleon Dynamite,
For my wife, The Notebook, and she cries every time. For me, Godfather(s), The Outlaw Josey Wales, Casino, Goodfellas, pretty much any at decent gangster flick.

And, the quintessential Christmas move - Die Hard!

The count of Monte Cristo
My cousin Vinny
Friday-next Friday- Friday after next

Wow, most all y'all have picked are damn solid. I might add Troy, The Sting, Kelly's Hero's and 300

Lots of good movies mentioned in this thread, but I have a hunch some of yall misinterpreted the OP's question. These aren't necessarily my favorite movies, but they appear on TV fairly often and as I'm scrolling through the guide, I have a hard time not watching them:

Jaws
Forrest Gump
The Patriot
Saving Private Ryan
Hoosiers
Rudy
The Green Mile

The Outlaw Josey Wales
Predator
No Country for Old Men
Forrest Gump
Roadhouse
Major League
Necessary Roughness
Winchester '73 (the Jimmy Stewart one)
Terminator 2
Quigley Down Under
Cast Away
Miracle

Step Brothers

I had a rare night to myself last night and watched American Me. I hadn't seen it since it was new. Excellent flick.

Oh, I'll also watch any of those Jesse Stone made for TV movies based on the Robert B parker novels.

I can probably add Goodfellas and Bronxe Tale, Good, Bad, and the Ugly, Bonnie and Clyde
