SUNDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE
As we reported below, transfer portal WR Malik Heath made it to Columbia for his official visit.
From what we’ve been told, the visit went great and the feedback from Heath has been great - the visit went about as well it could have.
Heath visited South Carolina coming out of JUCO so there was already a comfort level with the school and it sounds like Heath hit it off with wide receivers coach Justin Stepp and is appreciative of the opportunity in Columbia.
If he was picking today, I think it would be the Gamecocks but there’s a chance he take some other visits first. Remember that Heath cannot enroll until the summer at whatever school he picks
The rest of the visits were all players who are already signed but those of course went well too.

There’s been some chatter that Heath will end up at Ole Miss, so getting him in this weekend is an obvious first step for the Gamecocks in seeing how this thing plays out.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything else this weekend.
