As much as I would like this to happen, he is an Arizona kid with no ties here. I think he goes to a school out west with a wide open non-Satterfield offense.

He doesn’t have geographical ties, but there’s a strong connection due to Beamer, who was apparently extremely popular with the players.

I know folks keep mentioning Arizona schools, bur ASU had an incumbent starter who is a projected 5th round NFL pick so the consensus of most is that’s it in his best interest to come back for his last year. Rattler is probably looking for somewhere he won’t have to beat out an incumbent. We, of course, are wide open at QB.

There is Arizona, but they were 1-11 this past season with a worse offense than ours.

We make a lot of sense bc we need a QB, he has ties to Beamer and he gets to show out on the biggest conference stage. That said, I agree about playing in Satterfield’s offense. Though Shane could make the case that we weren’t more wide open bc we didn’t have a QB capable of slinging it.

I just said what I was told, not that it was fact. I also had my own opinion based on a now 3+ year old tv show. I am sure he has matured and God knows I would hate to be judged by how I was in high school or college.

I am now Spencer’s biggest fan.

We were on Sportscenter this morning which was great pub. He and Shane accomplished that. Kyler Murray transferred to Oklahoma from Texas A&M. Jalen Hurts transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma.
Kelly Bryant transferred from tater u. The list goes on and on. Rattler was doing good at Oklahoma. Inthe Texas game he got replaced by a talented freshman who looked great that day. Not sure who will end up being the better quarterback but many great quarterbacks get beat out sometimes and need a change of scenery. He is now the best quarterback we have on campus. Go Rattler and go Gamecocks.

Porous OL or not, we need someone to play QB next year. We can’t not pursue QBs just bc we have a bad OL. None of our QBs who played year are a difference maker. A good enough QB could offset some of the OL issues. We just didn’t have anyone good enough to do that. Is Rattler the answer? Don’t know. But he’s be an upgrade and we need to look for an answer somewhere.

i dont think it matters who is back there when the guys we have only have a second or 2 at most to find someone open and throw a good pass. our problems are deeper than the qb position. think about how many qbs have been successful with limited ability. a good o-line and good receivers can bail out a decent qb with decent blocking. doty would be more than capable with a team around him
