OT - How about 'dem Cowboys!!!

TV ratings will tell you who is important. The fact that they're still in the NFC East, when it makes no sense geographically. They've opted out of various NFL licensing agreements because they can make more on their own. Some teams are just more important in the NFL than others.

And the Dolphins are in the AFC East, when the AFC South would make more geographic sense. But with southeast Florida colloquially being the sixth borough of New York City, it does make demographic sense for Miami to be in the AFC East.

By strict geography the AFC ought to be:

West:
Kansas City
Denver
Las Vegas (or Oakland, legacy speaking)
Los Angeles (LA, SD, back to LA)

North:
Indianapolis (h3ll no, not forgetting how they snuck out of Baltimore)
Cleveland (disingenuous how the NFL does not consider this an expansion team)
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh

East:
Baltimore (the real Cleveland Browns)
New York
New England
Buffalo

South:
Houston
Nashville
Jacksonville
Miami

They literally have not beat a single team with a pulse all year. Hollow wins. Good teams will kill them dem cowgirls.
They beat the Vikings, the Patriots, the Eagles, the Falcons, .. your "with a pulse" must mean a handful of top teams only.

Jerry thinks he is a rock star or a Hollywooder. He likes the camera and the attention. He knows less about running a football team as that guy in the hamburger business. If he’d leave the team alone they might be able to do something with all his money he pours in it.

why don’t they show cheerleaders more during the games like they used to? Me Too or somebody complaining?

I feel the same way about them as I do about the Yankees. I haven't liked the Yankees since the Bobby Richardson era and I haven't liked the Cowboys since the Dan Reeves era. The Cowboys' fans are enough to repulse me.
The Cowboys had a Dan Reeves era? I know he played backup rb and then was an asst coach there a bit, but I can't imagine any Cowboy fan calling any of that time a Dan Reeves era. Unless you also have a Billy Truax era, a Scott Laidlaw era and a Cornell Green era.

He played for eight years (1965-1972 inclusive) and compiled the following statistics. Those eight years (longer than the typical NFL player) constitute his era, whether he was a premier player or not. He was important to people around here. Since that period, I have had no inclination to pull for the Cowboys - my essential point.
Rushing yards:1,990
Yards per carry:3.7
Rushing touchdowns:25
Receptions:129
Receiving yards:1,693
Receiving touchdowns:17

I've been a Cowboys fan my whole life. I remember the Dan Reeves era.
I remember when Dan Reeves played too, 1965-1972, but I can't imagine anyone calling that the Dan Reeves era. Maybe the Bob Hayes era, the Bob Lilly era or the Chuck Howley era, but you don't name eras for backup RBs who hold for FGs and extra points. He basically had two really good years, 1966 and 1967, and after that only started 6 games.

Almost all of that came in 1966 and 1967. After that he only started six games and mostly held for extra points and FGs. 1968 through 1972 he was more player coach than player.

King called it the Reeves era because he was a Gamecock and he followed him with the Cowboys. Unlike you I have no problem with that. If someone wants to talk about the Cornell Green era I have no problem with that either. I know exactly what they mean. Hope you're enjoying the holidays. Go Cocks!

Whatever his continuous tenure was, that was his era. It also defines the most recent time I had any interest in the Cowboys.

Yes sir...the Falcons, Eagles, and Vikes are hell on wheels this year. Championship contenders.
They are playoff contenders, not teams like the Jets or whoever can properly be described as not having a pulse. If you are only counting Championship contenders, that is about 4 or 5 teams, most of which Dallas hasn't played.

The Cowgirls didn't beat the real WFT. Entire secondary out with Covid, on 4th string center, no Landon Collins or Cole Holcome (both starters on D) on and on...think we had about 20 players out if I remember correctly. Just the fact- like when we beat Dallas twice last year-there was no Dak- so somewhat of an asterik on those games too. Congrats, you won- but with a big fat * .......plus win or lose you are still Dallas- most obnoxious team in NFL

Your even more jealous than I thought. A special kind of jealous. I'm laughing my ass off at you. I'm enjoying 5 SB's and an 11-4 season so far. You?

4 Super Bowls Championships and 12-3 this season.

So keep laughing and thinking I'm jealous for some reason...idiot.

BTW...it's you're. You're welcome.

How about dem AZ Cardinals!
kyler is 9&0 at Jerry world & they were down their top WR & RB…….
I feel sorry for them Cardinals now. They're going to have to go back to Dallas in two weeks, and the Cowboys are going to run them off the field and out of the playoffs. Then on to Green Bay the following week, where we put an end to Rodgers time in Green Bay. I just wonder if we're going to wind up in Tampa or LA for the NFC championship.

Battleship...let's be real here. The NFC East is a shitty division. It ain't what it used to be back in the day.
#HTTR
It isn't what it used to be, but going into the playoffs the Eagles are still a playoff possibility. That's better than about three other divisions that only have one team in the playoff hunt.

If the Cowboys make it to Lambeau it’ll be tough on them coming out of that warm climate controlled dome (Packers got to get there, too).

NFC championship, that’s bold, it would be a first in 25 years, I am going to have to defer to the recent results & resume. Kyler Murray is 9&0 going back to high school days.

Was that an ass kicking last night or what? I love it. I've never liked the "Redskins".
This is not directed at you personally, but the way I feel about the cowboys is the samel with clemson and that is a strong dislike. A rare happiness for a San Francisco victory.
