OT: I'm going to go see Bob Dylan in Memphis tonight. Is there anything that any of you guys

Ha! Will do. I'm actually pretty hesitant about the actual concert. I'm pretty much going just to see Bob Dylan.

seen him a bunch of times. just in Gvl this past sun. best show i ever saw was circa 2001(?) @ newly renovation spartanburg memorial, band was real tight, best of all the shows. put on a good outside show w/
willie @ amphitheater n simpsonville 5-6 yrs ago.

Recall the hysteria when he came back w/ rolling thunder tour n '75. u couldn't get a ticket Atlanta sold out asap & other than that I believe closest show to columbia was miami, had a friend who made that trek!

The Rolling Thunder tour would've been epic to see. I have the bootleg series from that tour. As I was 1 in 1975, I couldn't make it.

I caught him in Charleston a couple weeks back. He is doing the same set list on this tour as all other cities (or did up until that point). If you are looking to hear his older stuff, you will be disappointed. He did Tangle up in Blue and Simple Twist of fate....other than that, was all stuff from the last 10 years or so (which i like). He does not have the range he has in the past....yet his voice is strong. He stands and sings at center stage much of the show, plays some harmonica and piano. He and his band will be dressed up with hats and ties. His band is ourstanding......i enjoyed the show. Telll him I said Duh Hugh, he'll know what cha mean!

here's a link to the review of the gvl show: played @ the peace center which is smaller than the coliseum.

Saw him at the Coliseum at a date to be remembered later. I love Dylan. Listen to a folk station all day long and have heard some terrific songs he did. He can sing. Just depends on what you want.

GOCOCKS! BEATAUB!

I think concerts are always a hit or miss thing, especially with legends who have such a catalog of music, but they are usually on tour to promote an album, so that's what your mainly going to hear. Never have seen Bob live, but I do have 7-10 of his albums and love every one of them!

Tell him I'm knocking on Heaven's door but they won't open it. Saw him at the township around 2005.

Saw Bob with Willie Nelson. I am a huge Dylan fan, but all he played was Rock a billie. It was very disappointing. Willie was great.

Exactly. Artists want to promote their new music and they really get tired of playing old songs. I know a lot of musicians and they all say the same thing when it comes to playing old stuff. Well, it gets old. LOL
