Inspired by Vacocks Sultans post, I don't think you hear/read anything about guitars and guitar history without Django Reinhardt's name being mentioned.

Good read. If ever an instrument matched its owner it would be Trigger. Willie is such an amazing artist. One thing I never knew until a couple years ago was that he wrote “Crazy” sung by Patsy Cline.

Seen Willie many times. As the old saying goes "if only that guitar could talk" some great stories would be told!

Yep, my Dad had that 1966 live album, we wore that thing out! He also wrote Hello Walls (Faron Young) and Nightlife (I love BB Kings version).

There is a great YouTube video of Willie's luthier(Mark Erlewine) doing a repair on Trigger. And gives a historical rundown of the guitar. The most interesting part is the Prismatone pickup that is Trigger had and how it got on the guitar.
