My heart soared when I saw this headline. I wasn’t even driving yet when these cars went out of production in the late 90s but always wanted one. I’m in the market for a new car now, as it happens, and had been planning on a sports car. I thought this one could be a contender until I got to the part where it’s only going to be offered with an automatic transmission. Blasphemy! I’m holding on to a thin rag of hope that the automatic version creates enough of a stir that they bring a stick-shift to market.
