Obviously the message boards had a network-wide outage for a while tonight. On behalf of our entire staff, we apologize for the inconvenience that caused. All we have to go on is what Rivals told us happened since it affected the network that we're a part of here at GC. Without getting too technical (because I don't even understand it fully), there was a server vulnerability that had to be patched and that patch knocked things off-line for a while. Once things got back up and running, because of the size of the network and all the sites Rivals has, it took quite a while to get back up.
Reminder: (and hopefully this won't happen again, the message boards have been *much* more stable since the board upgrade with this being the first major outage) if the boards ever aren't working for you then please visit the front page. The front page of GamecockCentral.com was fully functional, and if you aren't visiting the front page even on regular days you're missing content. Make sure you visit it too!
