Good man, outstanding basketball coach. Although I enjoyed being at the “fight game” that night many years ago I always respected Lefty and his coaching style. He was truly a wonderful personality in college basketball.

I agree with Frank. Ribock did not hit Lefty. I was a senior that year and seniors got the best seats of all students. I was sitting about four rows up about half way between the two benches. It always looked to me like lefty sort of grabbed Ribock from behind, like you would pull someone off in a fight. If Ribock hit him it would have been with his elbow. Either way Ribock had no idea who Lefty was at the moment.
