Serious question: Why do some on here look for absolutely ANY reason

My theory to answering the OP's question is as follows:

Because at the turn of the 20th century, sports wasn't relevant to the culture. As we got closer to mid century, sports were becoming very important to the culture. As the 21st century approached, at least a couple of generations could look back and see the mistakes of the past...and they started to get frustrated seeing the same patterns over and over again.

Jump to now in our culture and sports are incredibly important and now people are absolutely disgusted at the same mistakes being made over and over...It's incredibly frustrating. I'm not ready to burn the University to the ground and start over...but it ain't a bad idea. This current administration across the board is just the same ol' same ol'. But fret not, in 2 years when the most important sports programs have imploded, we'll make the same mistakes again when starting over. Sucks, but... until we start demanding excellence across the board, nothing will change except the paint.
