Let's schedule all our non conference games going forward against considerably weaker programs and let's lobby for an easier SEC schedule-like Tennessee's this year.

Sad that this is the kind of message the football powers that be are sending to programs across the country. Sad indeed. It goes against everything I was brought up to believe in sports. :(

True.

With the expansion though, we dont ever really need to play an OOC game that isn't a patsy. Clemson and the SEC is enough. It might very mattered had we ever been looking at #4 vs #5, but 12th? And soon to be 16th?

When I used to coach travelball, I always tried to schedule tournaments where I thought the best teams would be and stayed away from the ones where we'd basically just show up and bring home a trophy. That was my approach for like two decades. I learned to take that approach from the coaches I learned the game from and I like to think they learned it in the same manner. I was very proud of doing things in that way. That said, this what we see right here (and the disappointing thing is its at the college level) of incentivising playing patsies is like the opposite of that. It''s really hard to put in to words how pathetic I see it as. But I get it. I'm with you. You gotta do what you have to do. Dang shame is all I can say.

Odd that sos is so important for basketball but not football.
In football:
Head to head matters until it doesn't.
SOS matters until it doesn't.
Playing well at the end of the season matters until it doesn't.

Clearly we dont know what we are doing in football. Time to move over for AI... computer rankings.

Too much whining about this at this point- and repeating the same stuff over and over.

We have a bowl game up next- most likely the Citrus and it's time to focus on that and winning #10- and hopefully fans go to the game and support the team and have fun at the bowl site.

It hasn't even been 24 hours and it was a big deal to most of us. You've gone on for weeks about a topic or controversy in Women's Basketball.

I was correcting some flat out dishonest comments like it was domestic violence which it wasn't.

It's been "official" for 24 hours. We've known since Saturday it was very unlikely.

I also heard 400 callers today saying the same thing and whining on columbia radio and it gets old. Anyway, on to the bowl game.
