So, if I counted right, we have 29 errors in 21 games this year...

That's including tnite. Is this good baseball? That's almost 1 1/2 errors per game. Maybe this is the norm for college baseball, but it seems like a lot. And, unfortunately, it seems there is one particular player that has about 1 minimum every game.

sounds about right to me and over an 1 error per game is not good....if our team is built on pitching and defense, then the defense is letting us down

I have been to every home came....we are living on borrowed time unless the coaching improves and we improve our hitting. We need more "routine" hits. Dramatic homers are great, but we simply fail to get the "normal" base hit with it is truly needed. If we do not improve in these two areas, it is going to be a very long season.

We people would like to host a regional and super regional. The performance so far indicates we will be on the road for the regional. We are at best 3rd in the state. And we still have to play Coastal, The Citadel, PC, and Wofford. You go figure and don't worry!too much!

maybe you should start worrying.....thats not gonna get it done....in the 3 main phases of the game....pitching were doing great 14th....fielding, not so much 120th......hitting 144th....

Ahh, but they're satisfied. I mean after all we won the national championship in 2010 and 2011. That's good enough.

And it really gets your goat that we won those 2 CWS titles, taking 2 full years of whining and moaning away from you. How did you occupy your time during 2010 and 2011?

The error you're making is that we haven't had 1 1/2 errors per game. That's why we're still ranked as high as we are.

Another error some of you make around here is treating college baseball like it is MLB...when it isn't even close.

We are one of the top teams in the nation. Where will we end up? It's anyones guess right now. But I'm almost positive we'll make a regional, probably host one again, and we have enough talent to advance deeper. It all depends on how we are playing come May and June.

Now as to the errors, yes the majority of them were committed by one player. I'm not sure if it's mental or physical. But what I am sure of is 1) he is one of our most productive batters and 2) the only way to improve is by playing. You don't just pull one of your proven and most productive batters out of the line up without giving him a chance to work through whatever is going wrong right now.

The only question is how long do you leave him out there before you make a change. I don't believe it would be out of the question for them to have him split time in the outfield with another true outfielder that they have confidence in hitting at a decent average (assuming we have one) and re-entering him when they need him at the plate.

But until then I understand what the coaches are doing and respect their reasons for doing it, unlike some people around here. I think they deserve that much respect until closer to the end of the season. They surely don't deserve these outcries of doom and desperation after every loss.

Then again, if we were undefeated the only post on here would be about last years pitiful football defense.

He (USCAndy) whined and complained the whole time during the national championship years to. A zebra can't change his stripes...
