I really think an up-and-comer will be best.

I just can't see the current blue-bloods who are already making lots of $$$ with great support from their AD coming to Cola for an extra 250k. IMO, it's not that Ray won't pay it, but those extra $$$ don't matter to the bluebloods.

Perhaps the USC gig is too much of a prime job......

Kingston would be a solid hire. He has turned 2 programs with little to know resources and history into winners. Just think what he could do here. May not be a high profile guy right now, but I've seen things written by national media folks who say this guy is legit.

I was going to respond with "Holbrook was loved by the national media folks too" but the reality is Kingston has actually paid his dues at smaller programs and succeeded. I like the hire.
