Simple explanation about D issue past couple of years is the concentration of injuries in certain positions and the lack of playing time for back-ups. Last year we had no depth left in at DB and D-Line. Other teams had schedules early in the year which allow back-ups to have significant playing time. Hell, Clemson's schedule is such that 2nd and 3rd team guys have the same number of reps as 1st team by year end. Last season even Alabama had significant 1st team D injuries by year end from dealing with a tougher schedule. Go take a look. Clemson ate up the 2nd team guys.

Our D-Line is much deeper this year and we have D-Backs that still need tackle to the ground reps to get to SEC quality. But we at least have depth. We couldn't stop the run at all the last two years. Now we held #2 team to the lowest run yards that any other team in recent years., Yes DB's need better technique but they will get better.

Lets not get hung up by stats that the game announcers, radio and TV folks need to fill airtime. We'll end up like pro baseball.

Chill the F-- out please.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics.
