Ol' Birdiecock developed a serious case of the yips and had no cure. Everything he tried didn't work. Left hand low, broomstick putters, putting with his eyes closed. Back and forth the ball raced. Four putts became common.
Then his troubles got worse when he developed a case of the shanks. Hellsbells, he even hit reverse shanks. Thats where the ball hits the back of the hosel and goes between one's legs. Ouch.
There were no more birdies to be found. Alas, in his desperation he totaled his car after shooting a 101 from the ladies' tees. Was it intentional? Who knows?
The paramedics arrived and took him to MUSC. He had lost an eye an arm and two legs and would only answer to the name of "Lucky". Fortunately his "old nasty" was still intact.
They took him to the basement of some nearby clinic. All he can remember is a voice saying...
"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Birdiecock will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster."
Back to the course went this new Six Million Dollar Man. He still had the yips but a cool new user name. Plus his new bionic eye helped him see through certain things...
