Is what all the announcers are now saying As if these teams (all teams at all colleges) have somehow worn the shoes of a soldier on the battlefield. maybe a few of them have lost limbs, sight, hearing, parents and such. i cannot believe the words drool from their lips. Really brings down a human being who really has had some tough times. i have a child with learning disabilities, talking about facing adversity.
Do any of these people actually know that those people are playing a damn game and there is NOT A BIT OF ADVERSITY in playing a damn game. The gloves at which we now treat these pansies and the money we pay them is very disturbing and prolly a good time for me to check out but somehow i keep watching and bitching about our adverse players and theirs.

There is definitely adversity in the context of the sport. Marcus Lattimore certainly faced adversity.

There is always adversity in sport, but never life-threatening adversity. These announcers suck. All of them. I rarely use the word “suck,” but it fits them.

But people have lost their lives competing. Many have had their lives altered by competitions.
