Year 2: 3000+ yards & BIG 12 Championship in a COVID-shortened season.
Year 3: Beat out by a freshman phenom/eventual no. 1 pick. Still nearly 1500 yards. Everyone, and I mean everyone, wanted Caleb Williams. He’s that legit. Spencer got in a funk & unfortunately for him, his backup was a freshman phenom. I’d venture as to say Lincoln Riley & SR probably didn’t mesh personality-wise.
You don’t turn down an elite game-changing athlete off uneducated optics. I get the Satt situation & I get OU has more talent than we do currently. Rome wasn’t built overnight as they say.
