A lot of analysts are picking the Gamecocks to take down Georgia this Saturday, hate to say it but I think we're being set up for a hard fall!

What they say or what we say doesn't mean a thing. The players and coaches win or lose the game.I feel like UGA has the advantage, but there is enough talent on our team to beat them at home. I'd give us 35% chance. But still hope we can pull it off. Feels like it's our only hope to win the East.

Better worry about it. UGA only played for the NC last year. They are also a double digits favorite on the road for a reason. Not saying it can't be done, as that is why they play the game. But USC is going to have to play flawlessly and have a couple breaks along the way

We have our work cut out for us. UGA has one of the most talented teams in the country. We can't afford to make many mistakes and we have to protect the ball. We also need play well up front. I like our chances playing at home in a very hostile environment. It should be a fun one.

I see one of three things happening:

We win close
They win close
They win in a blow-out

They are too talented for us to run away with this one. The one key for me is the play of Jake. He has struggled, for the most part, in the big games. He has the weapons around him. The offense will have to score a lot to keep us in the game. Is he ready to take the next step in his career?

I think we’re gonna have to come out, and hit them in the mouth quickly like we did in 2012 w/21 1st qtr points ... BEFORE ... they make adjustments. In 2012, GA adjusted, and held us fairly well except for a couple of long balls that put us in position to score 2 more TD’s for the final margin. The difference was our stifling D. We were never threatened. Other than not turning the ball over, we have to pressure their QB, and score early. If we can do neither, I think we’re gonna be playing from behind the whole game.

Not sure how we can be in for a hard fall. Last I read UGA was -9 1/2, that's a pretty big margin. UGA will be picked by 85-90% of the so-called gurus.
I plan to sit back, and see how far we have come talent wise over the past few years. I expect a hard fought game. Will not be upset in a loss, but sure hope somehow we can win.

Big Fall? We're huge underdogs, which means we're supposed to lose. Depth is their biggest advantage, which is minimized this early in the year, since no injuries yet. At home as well. Pressure is on them, not us. If we lose, it's because we're supposed to. If we win, then good. But don't see where it's a big fall.

Finally, read a factoid earlier that UGA has NEVER beaten a ranked USC team at Williams-Brice.

I have been a Gamecock too long not to worry. But that's what makes being a Gamecock so great. You never take any damn thing for granted.

I'd hate to be a fan of one of those teams expected to win all the time, or even most of the time. What's the fun in that? There isn't. Win, and you were supposed to win but did you win by enough? Lose and oh hell no, fire everybody.

I hope we win, and if we win it won't matter to me if we win 100-0 or 3-0, I'll still worry when we play Chattanooga. And if UGA wins, well, I'm still a Gamecock.

The ones that drives me batty are the ones who hurry to put in print how much they think we will lose by. "Whether you think you can, or think you can't---you're usually right". Henry Ford

What analysts are these of which you speak? I have yet to see anyone picking South Carolina as an outright winner.

We are getting better. But dammit what may be the top 3 teams in the country are about as close to Columbia as you can get. Makes it hard to make great strides when 2 of your games are so difficult (3 next year).
