THIS is why you can’t get a full stadium Beamer

It tells you that a loss to EIU, ECU or Troy is way more devastating, when compared to the value of a win over those same teams. It’s incredibly embarrassing that Miss St and Duke lost to Memphis and Charlotte, respectively.

No, it tells you that the people with the money on the line saw a good possibility of only 3 wins for us this season.

And the fact that Beamer kept us out of that situation is to his credit. My issue is with the comment "3 ooc patsies and vandy made 4 wins before a down was played." That's bullshit and everyone knows it. Just a way to diminish what the team and Beamer have accomplished by getting us bowl eligible. There are teams in much better situations than us that lost to one of those automatic wins.

Any P5 team should beat those 3 teams. If they don’t, it’s an embarrassment. I’ll give Beamer credit for beating them, but there is enough talent on the team to expect to beat Mizzou and Vandy as well. That’s 5 wins. I don’t think it’s outside of the realm of possibility to expect us to compete with Kentucky and Tennessee. We surprisingly beat Florida and Auburn. That tells me that we could have done more.

There are multiple fans on this board that are claiming we now have a chance against Klempsun. Are we that much better than when we started this season? Or have we been underperforming until the Florida game? Is it Beamer that should get all the credit for coaching this team up for the last 3 games? Or do the players get credit for finally making plays? Obviously it’s a combination of everything, but it’s become a war between fans that ‘diminish’ Beamer and the staff vs fans that think we have no talent and shouldn’t expect anything out of such weak players.

Or the simpler explanation, that 3 weak group of 5 teams (is Eastern Illinois even a g5 team?) and vandy shouldn't be a measuring stick for any team with a pulse.

But we have to have a flare for the dramatic if we want to generate drama.

So Beamer improves the dumpster fire he inherited by beating Florida and Auburn, and you somehow find a way to imply that he has underachieved earlier in the season with your "That tells me that we could have done more. "

LOL. That tells me you are just another Beamer hater. NOBODY in the football world with a brain would buy that line of reasoning. NOBODY.

But it's like I've said here before. You Beamer haters will find a way to whine no matter what.

We beat a bad team by a lot. You find a random stat to complain about and say it the win is meaningless.
We beat a bad team by a little. It's bad news because we didn't win by enough.
We get blown out by a really good team. Fire Beamer and Satterfield because we aren't competitive. You see no improvement.
We compete with a good team and lose. Doesn't matter, no moral victories. All that matters is winning.
We beat a team that was favored by 20 points. It was them, not us. They just didn't care. Plus, he needs to validate it by beating another team. It was a fluke.
We get bowl eligible. It really wasn't that hard to get there. Almost automatic. LOL.

And now,

We beat another team that nobody expected us to beat. You now decide that it's really a sign of underachieving against teams earlier in the season. Beamer could have done more. lol

Hell, if Beamer does somehow miraculously manage to beat Clemson, you haters will say he is a bad coach that should be fired for costing us a National Championship. LOL.

How you can reach these ridiculous conclusions based on my post, is baffling to say the least. You conveniently and lazily lump me in with everyone else. Attributing all those comments about the game results to me? Lol!! Really? You are so paranoid and assume everyone that doesn’t fall in line with your agenda is some agent looking to destroy Beamer from inside a message board. Do you also think someone is bugging your house?

Because my expectations are higher for this team, you are projecting that I think a Klempsun win would prove we’re an underachieving team that should have won 11 games? Boy, that sure is a stretch. Where in the hell do you get that? You’ve made a living on this board misrepresenting and twisting comments that run counter to your agenda. I’ve never called for Beamer or any staff to be fired, but I certainly think that if he is given credit for the good, he should also be held accountable for the bad.

I’m saying this. If this team was capable of beating Florida and Auburn, they certainly should have beaten Mizzou, beaten Kentucky and at least competed with Tenn. You can hold no one accountable, you can believe whatever you want, you can misrepresent posters that don’t fall in line and you can beat your ‘I’m a better fan’ drum all day. You want to give Beamer all the credit, while protecting him from ANY criticism. A fair assessment of this team includes reasonable praise and reasonable criticism. A fan should be able to provide both without judgement from others.

Its not that hard once you realize he cares more about arguing than actually having something legitimate to argue about.

He did just spend a page trying to argue the difference in patsies being easy wins and guaranteed wins.

I was being ridiculous with the Clemson/NC comments to highlight how ridiculous your revised expectations and desire to hold someone "accountable" are.

Yes, I hold Beamer accountable for winning 6 games, well above the 3.5 projected, and I hold him accountable for getting us bowl eligible when NOBODY expected that. NOBODY.

Sorry, when this staff and the team work hard and improve over the season and then beat teams that nobody thought they could beat at the beginning of the season, you don't get to jump back in your football time machine and start asking for accountability as to why they didn't do more earlier in the season. That's just ridiculous and completely unfair to the staff and the players.

Just another hater trying to put a negative spin and something that is nothing but positive any way any reasonable person would look at it. Nothing reasonable about what you are suggesting at all. I thought maybe I had you confused with somebody else, so I looked back through your post history. Overwhelmingly negative. And now, after wins over Florida and Auburn, you still find a way to be negative. Pathetic.

It is just a travesty that Beamer didn't produce an undefeated season with all the talent he was left. Okay maybe a one point loss to Georgia, but he should have steamrolled everyone else. [/sarcasm]

Wrong.

You missed the point, as usual. You were trying to diminish this team and staff's accomplishment of getting bowl eligible with your idiotic "4 wins before a down is played" comment. Then you tried to belittle the Florida win because you think they gave up and just really didn't want to win. Then you tried to say that really, all Beamer had to do was win one game to get bowl eligible in another attempt to downplay a situation what any reasonable person with a brain would consider a success.

Moronic. And completely unfair to this staff and the team.

Actually correct. The posts are still right there in this thread.

And paulies right, half the time your rants get so disjointed that it seems you can't keep different posters straight. Normally I laugh at you getting all worked up, frothing at the mouth, and typing pointless diatribes, but it's Thanksgiving. For the sake of those who have to put up with you today (if anyone is really that unlucky) you need to calm down. Go eat some turkey.

You are absolutely obsessed. If I’m doing something so awful, why haven’t the mods banned me? I make no personal attacks and I haven’t called for anyone to be fired. Just because I’m not acting like we just won the NC, I’m pathetic? I just call it like I see it, while you sit there and judge everyone that doesn’t do exactly what you think they should. You really are a moral policeman on this board. Get off your high horse. I’ll be on the board Saturday during the game and you will see me being fired up and positive. But of course you want to paint me a certain way and lump me in with everyone else, just because I have an opinion that you don’t like.

Your opinion doesn’t carry any weight when you don’t have the emotional attachment that hurts when you turn out to be wrong.

No, I'm not the moral police, and I didn't ask for anybody to be banned. I'm the voice of reason. I know where we started. I saw what happened with injuries. There is not a Gamecock fan out there that shouldn't be over-the-top happy about what this staff and team has accomplished for this season. I've seen your post history. Overwhelmingly negative. A joke considering the circumstances.

So yes, what you suggest is pathetic. Beamer has improved this team and gotten us bowl eligible. But your "call it like I see it" opinion now is that, based on the improved performance, that he could have done more and that maybe he was underperforming beforehand and think there should be some kind of accountability for loses in the early part of the season.

So I'll call it like I see it. Your opinion is laughable and beyond absurd.

Wrong.

You are just mad because I call you exactly what you are. A bunch of crying Nancy Kerrigan's that are so self-absorbed and narcissistic that you can't be fair to our current coach because you didn't get the one you want.

Suck it up, buttercup. Beamer has FAR exceeded expectations and isn't going anywhere, no matter what kind of nut job excuse you and others come up with to downplay what this team and staff have accomplished.

Actually correct. As I said, the posts are still there. You can't deny the teams are patsies, so you whine about the term guaranteed, as if that makes those wins any easier or harder.

But I do get a kick out of you thinking you're making people mad.

My condolences to any family that has to spend today with you.

LOL. We will happily celebrate in a couple of hours and one of the biggest and one of the happiest topics with be the outstanding job Beamer has done. No miserable Beamer hating losers like you will be around.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know this is a waste because you’re just a troll. But by definition, a person who accepts criticism can’t be a narcissist. A narcissist is literally someone who only wants praise (which is your entire argument).

And if anyone dares utter a word that isn't absolute worship, I'm sure you'll be the first to spew turkey out of your mouth across the entire table as you scream at them and pound your fist on the table.

I bounce between laughter and pity. All the back and forth aside, I think he's got a little something "off" upstairs.

Wrong. The only people that are "off" and need "pity" are the morons that seem to think that there is some reason to spin what has happened as negative.

Yes, but that objectivity and lack of emotional connection lets me see how ridiculous some of the criticisms of Beamer have been on these boards. He far exceeded my expectations and just about every prediction I saw expressed here near the start of the season. He is a young head coach and still learning and makes mistakes. But when he makes a mistake (e.g. which qb to play) he corrects it, unlike certain stubborn former coaches I could name. Beamer definitely needs more talent on the team and recruiting may make or break him. Will he be a success in the long run? I don't know, but I laugh at those here who pronounced him dead before even feeling for a pulse.

And now we get to see two pages of cute little pictures. 🙄

See what I mean? I just take that as a sign his run out of nonsense to spew and thinks this is cute way to keep going. Because it's about continuing the back and forth more than anything to him.

At least at the end you hint you’re not sure if our record this year is because of good coaching or just a beneficial schedule.

Does he though? It almost seems like he was forced to play Brown through injuries.

Not a comment in general, I just thought that example was strange given the circumstances.

Good point. Fans seem to disagree he’s playing the right RBs as well.

Right on cue, brother. You’ve got this dude’s routine pegged! As predictable as clockwork.

How can it be a beneficial schedule for the Gamecocks? They beat who they were supposed to beat this year, along with beating a couple of teams no one thought they would beat. No one was talking about a beneficial schedule for the season started. Even 5 wins this year would have been considered success to many around here before the season started. That's how bad we are/were.

No one knew Florida was going to be a complete train wreck this season.

True. But let’s not anger the masses and just go ahead and admit that we did beat a team we weren’t expected to beat.

I’m sorry, but after seeing them play a couple games, I expected to beat Vandy and Mizzou. Isn’t that being the worst fan possible? I did not expect to even compete with Georgia or aTm. But is it really that outrageous to expect us to halfway compete with Kentucky and Tennessee?

No one knew Florida was going to be a complete train wreck this season.
Sure. Let's say the Florida was of norm and we lost to them, but beat Missouri instead. That's still 6 wins. Is the schedule still considered beneficial in that case still with 6 wins? It's cherry picking at this point because we can go back to nearly any season and come up with beneficial wins.
