The question then becomes whether the 49ers would carry three quarterbacks. Thompson strikes me as a logical practice squad candidate given the development issues he faces.

I really think Davis can be a good RB in the league, just needs to shed a few LBS and put some more muscle on. He will be a beast to bring down, and I really like how well he can catch the ball too.
Also, lots of good reports on Byrd from the Panthers camp. They say he is really standing out, as a huge Panthers fan I hope this is true. Cam is finally get some weapons around him, and could make for a great season.
